Production: week 1

In the past week of production in Media I have began to build up my front page and double page spread. So far I have focused mainly on my double page spread, and the font of the text for the headers and adding the text as I have not yet done my photoshoot.So far this is the product I have come up with:

However, I will have to make changes to the layout as it turns out my areticle was longer than expected, and therefore with this layout there is no room for any breakout boxes and I wanted my product to be more active. Adding the text and editing the fonts for the header took longer than expected, therefore to reach the coursework deadline I may have to do work out of class aswell. To do this I will also have to improve my skills on InDesign as at the moment I am finding it hard to work. Also, I have my photoshoot coming up next week so I can work on adding the pictures into my double page spread and choosing the main image to go onto the front cover. Skills I developed on InDesign during the production this week was how to download a font, extract the file and add it into my work. This enabled me to choose from a much wider variety of fonts to find the exact one I want for my final product. Next week I will play with the layout on Monday, and on Tuesday add in my photographs as I have my photoshoot on Tuesday and edit them in Photoshop. On Thursday I will add the final image into InDesign and complete the layout to further complete the final design. Lastly, on Friday I will add my main photograph onto my front cover and begin producing that.
